Are you licensed and insured?

What is your level of experience?
Love Your Pet has been providing pet care since 1989 - over 36 years. Our pet sitters collectively boast more than 100 years of professional pet sitting and animal care experience!
Can I meet my sitter before I leave?
Yes, we always arrange a meet and greet to ensure that everyone is comfortable. We want both you and your pets to feel at ease, knowing they are in capable hands.
What takes place during the Meet & Greet?
During this meeting, we review all responsibilities. Our sitters follow a checklist that covers:
- Location of food and water dishes
- Where to find extra food
- Medical issues and medication instructions
- Favorite toys
- Disposal instructions for litter and waste
- Plant care guidelines
- Mailbox instructions
- Your pet’s daily routine
- Any other relevant details for your visits
If friends, neighbors, or cleaners will be in my home while I’m away, should I inform you?
Yes, please let us know if anyone else will be in your home during our visits. We prefer to avoid unexpected encounters! Only your assigned sitter and their backup will enter your home.
When can I expect updates from my sitter?
That’s entirely up to you! We can send text updates and photos or leave a note for you to read upon your return.
What if my sitter is ill or cannot make it for a scheduled visit? Do you have backup sitters available?
Yes, we have a complete team, and each of our pet sitters has at least one backup sitter.
What hours do your pet sitters offer?
While each sitter's schedule may differ, we typically offer pet sitting visits starting at 6:00 AM and as late as 10:00 PM, every day of the year.
What happens if my trip is extended or my flight is delayed?
We always reserve a few slots in our schedule for situations like extended trips or if you wish to add an extra day to your vacation. Please stay in touch with us, and we will ensure your pets are well taken care of.
Special Needs Questions
My pet has diabetes; can you administer insulin?
Absolutely, we can help with that. Just let us know the timing for your pet's injection.
Is it possible for you to give my pet medication?
Yes, we sure can! We frequently provide both topical and oral medications, including pills, ear drops, eye drops and more!
I have a pet with kidney failure; can you provide subcutaneous fluids?
Certainly. Our team includes a certified veterinary technician and pet sitters who are trained and experienced in caring for special needs animals.
Do you provide pet sitting for dogs that are reactive to other dogs?
Yes, we regularly care for dogs that are reactive to others.
